News Note: If you've been following us of late you'll know that during the last few days inmate infections have creeped up while staff infections have been dropping. But the inmate numbers are somewhat deceiving, since fully 62 of the current 93 infected inmates are housed in one facility: Texarcana FCI. which is also tied for the largest number of current staff positives at 5. We'll be watching Texarcana during the next few days to see where its headed and will report on any articles explaining why, uniquely, Texracana appears unable to control the spread.

Death Watch: The BOP has reported no additional inmate fatalities, leaving the number of inmate fatalities at 240. Five of these inmates died while on home confinement. Staff fatalities remain at 4.
